1. GET STARTED
It can be overwhelming with where to start but it doesn’t have to be. An easy way to get started is to create a new folder “Need to review” and move all emails to the new folder. This way they are still all saved and you can review when you have time to delete or move to a new appropriate folder. It will feel manageable now to start the process of a clean inbox.
2. CREATE FOLDERS
This is the key to success! Every email should be deleted or put in an appropriate folder, this is an easy way for you to find your emails when needed and makes it easy to find your emails when needed later on. Example of folders - House, Taxes, Insurance, Kids Activities, Work, Airline, etc.
3. MAKE INBOX A TO-DO LIST
The only emails left in your inbox are things you need to still resolve or wait for a reply. Every morning you can review to see what you need to do.
4. DRAFTS
Using templates of emails that you continually write to have them saved in your "draft" folder can be a huge time saver.
5. DAILY KEEP UP
Daily check-ins can help keep your inbox from ever getting out of control again.
